Editorial Account Manager
We are looking for a talented, creative and entrepreneurial editorial account manager to join our dynamic and friendly team. Often coming from a journalism background, it is equally important that our account managers can spot a good story (and a bad one!) and work seamlessly with our clients’ communications teams. This is an amazing opportunity to join a digital content agency with a fantastic client base and a firm belief in the power of story-telling to change the world. Founded in Geneva in 2018 by the team that helped to create the World Economic Forum’s digital powerhouse, The Content Engine combines creativity and technology for effective communication. We give organisations access to the platforms, processes and editorial talent they need to scale the work of their communications team and own the conversations in their digital space.
We have an office in Geneva and a main employee presence in the UK. This is a fully remote role, working on GMT/CET time zone, with very occasional travel, and your employment will be subject to local employment rules. Very occasional travel will be required, to team get togethers 1-2 times per year and occasional trips for face-to-face client meetings.
Join us and…
Act as the main point of contact and workflow manager for designated clients
Lead clients’ weekly editorial meetings – where we discuss ideas, commission stories and review customer analytics
Commission, edit, and occasionally write dazzling content across formats including articles, videos and infographics.
Participate in regular ideation sessions, coming up with creative approaches to meet clients’ communications goals
Work closely with the team to improve our platform and grow our business
What makes you a great candidate?
At least four years’ experience in digital communication or journalism
Experience in working in a fast-paced, digital environment
Confident drawing insights from social media analytics to inform digital strategy
Comfortable in the use of cloud-based technologies
Working language English, proficiency in one or more additional languages an advantage
Degree or postgraduate qualification in journalism, communications, international relations, economics or similar desirable, but not essential
Experience in finance, economics and/or business communications strongly preferred

Contract duration: Initial one-year term with strong likelihood of renewal
Salary and benefits: £40K, depending on experience, plus bonuses and profit share, 25 days annual leave plus local national holidays and one ‘life event’ day, flexible working
Full time/part time: Full-time role (part time at 80% FTE will also be considered)
Location: Remote, with a strong preference for UK-based candidates
