Turning Bahrain’s achievements into global impact stories
The Bahrain Economic Development Board’s mission is clear: attract investment, drive sustainable economic growth, diversify the economy and create quality opportunities for Bahraini citizens.
The team could rely on an impressive stream of achievements and innovations coming out of Bahrain and its GCC neighbours to report. But how could they shape that news into narratives that held value well beyond the region – stories that would resonate with international investors and business leaders? This was the question we set out to answer together.
We identified the World Economic Forum (WEF) Agenda as the principal channel to reach EDB’s target audience. The aim, then, was to create stories compelling enough to be published on this prestigious platform. With our roots in the WEF and broad subject expertise amongst our writers, this was a challenge we relished.
Together, we produced a regular cadence of insight articles linking the region to important geopolitical trends and built a streamlined process to pitch them to the Forum. This saw EDB emerge as one of WEF's key strategic partners, with nine articles published on the site in 2023. We are set to almost double this total in 2025.
We have also cultivated a robust messaging ecosystem, distilling EDB’s vision into concise pillars including digital transformation, financial inclusion, and sustainable development. This has helped ensure an even spread of stories across various subject areas and formats, including collaborative articles, event content and video.
"The Content Engine has been essential to helping us create impact and communicate our message clearly. Our content strategy is all about showcasing our people and bringing our research to life — and they get that. They understand modern formats inside out and pair that with smart workflows and sharp strategic thinking."

Imagining dystopian futures in a strategic billboard campaign to target Brussels policymakers on their daily commute
CFG emphasises that policy decisions made today about emerging technologies will have seismic consequences for future generations. In a provocative awareness campaign, we drew attention to this by imagining dystopian (near) futures that could await humanity if technologies like biotech and quantum computing are developed without public oversight.
The campaign consisted of billboards placed in Brussels metro stations and targeted LinkedIn ads running simultaneously. Creative assets were developed and produced by our designers in close collaboration with CFG’s communications team.
