When research meets storytelling
The Centre for Future Generations (CFG) produces insightful and original research on technologies like AI and neurotechnology that are reshaping our world. Like any new think tank, the challenge is getting it in front of the right people and presenting it in a way that compels them to act.
Our work with CFG has followed one clear purpose: to tell the story of their research. And we’ve done it in two ways.
We have helped bring research to life through visual design across a diverse array of formats, including data visualisation, report design and infographics. These break down complex concepts and processes, making research more accessible.
Storytelling has also helped CFG reach new audiences. That means:
Drawing out compelling narratives from each piece of research
Raising provocative questions that resonate with experts and non-experts alike
Raising the profile of CFG’s thought leaders with short-form social video
Diving into fascinating issues in documentary-style long-form video
Putting CFG on the radar of Brussels policymakers with a hard-hitting metro-station billboard campaign
Together, we’ve produced striking content across a wide range of fascinating topics: neurotechnology, quantum computing, solar geoengineering, advanced AI and biotechnology. CFG’s new brand is designed to break the mould and we’ve helped them bring it to life in diverse ways.
"The Content Engine has been essential to helping us create impact and communicate our message clearly. Our content strategy is all about showcasing our people and bringing our research to life — and they get that. They understand modern formats inside out and pair that with smart workflows and sharp strategic thinking."

Project highlights
Imagining dystopian futures in a strategic billboard campaign to target Brussels policymakers on their daily commute
CFG emphasises that policy decisions made today about emerging technologies will have seismic consequences for future generations. In a provocative awareness campaign, we drew attention to this by imagining dystopian (near) futures that could await humanity if technologies like biotech and quantum computing are developed without public oversight.
The campaign consisted of billboards placed in Brussels metro stations and targeted LinkedIn ads running simultaneously. Creative assets were developed and produced by our designers in close collaboration with CFG’s communications team.
An eye-opening event video to unpack climate intervention technology
We produced a mini-documentary on experimental solar geoengineering technology, alongside researchers from CFG’s Climate Interventions team.
The video is an introduction to the issue, shown to policymakers at a series of events. It formed a key part of the team’s call for international research and governance on this experimental technology. Featuring testimony from leading international experts in the field, it explores why this technology matters and what we should do about it.
